Volunteer Services Manager
We are currently seeking a full-time Volunteer Services Manager to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategy focused on the recruitment, recognition, and retention of volunteers for all programs. This position will manage a portfolio of donor and volunteer groups, steward key relationships, and grow existing partnerships. The Volunteer Services Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations and will work in close partnership with the Construction and ReStore teams to ensure an exceptional volunteer experience is provided to further Habitat Kent’s mission.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements continuous strategies for recruitment, recognition and retention of volunteers for all programs and aspects of the organization through all modes of media and communication.
- Manages portfolio of high-tier donor and volunteer groups; schedule events, steward key relationships, and grow existing partnerships.
- Works with all departments to understand their volunteer needs on a daily and project-centered basis, ensures a productive experience for volunteers, and confirms sponsor expectations are met.
- Coordinates and facilitates presentations on our mission for the purpose of recruiting volunteers and possible sponsorships/gifts; cultivates new corporate partners.
- Oversees and supports volunteer/staff orientations and staff training.
- Oversees relationships with programs coordinating volunteer positions.
- Promotes our mission, vision, and core values
- Receives and maintains professional development training necessary to fulfill the minimum standards of the essential responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of 2 years’ experience required managing a high impact
Volunteer Program. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- 2 years or more of staff management/supervisory skills – nonprofit environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner within an organization and the community it serves.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate strategy.
- Excellent computer and technological skills – IT and database experience preferred (Raiser’s Edge and/or Volunteer Hub experience a plus).
- Must have strong interpersonal relational skills.
- Must have a safe driving record and be insurable.

Pay Range and Benefits:
- Salary range: $55,000-$65,000 per year
