Why become a Housing Champions monthly donor

Monthly giving creates a powerful partnership between donors and Habitat Kent, allowing you to spread your giving over time while witnessing ongoing impact. For Habitat Kent, this sustainable and reliable funding stream enables efficient planning and consistent delivery of access to affordable homeownership. Together, we are a force for change in addressing the community’s need for affordable housing.

"The monthly donation format works perfectly for my budget, while providing Habitat with reliable funding they can count on. Knowing that my consistent support helps families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership gives me tremendous satisfaction. I know my regular contributions help to create foundations for transformed lives."

- Mike, monthly donor since 2021

Monthly gifts from our Housing Champions make it possible every month for families to:
Pay no more than 30% of their income for their Habitat Kent home.
Receive quality financial education classes to prepare them for a lifetime of successful homeownership.
Live in a safe, affordable home that is well designed for accessibility, energy efficient to help lower utility bills, and has excellent indoor air quality.
about

The Impact of Your Support as a Housing Champion

  • Provides children with a stable environment to thrive, leading to better health, greater academic success, and a deeper sense of belonging in their community. This stability fosters improved educational outcomes and healthier development.
  • Provides families with financial benefits like stable mortgages and equity and creates a sense of community and well-being. It also leads to improved health, better educational outcomes, reduced crime exposure, and offers stability and the ability to personalize their living space.
  • Strengthens Kent County by increasing property values, attracting investment, and fostering economic growth. Homeowners contribute to local businesses, jobs, and taxes, while their stable presence reduces crime and builds deeper community engagement. This leads to a stronger, safer, and more prosperous community.
