Construction Site Supervisor (Muskegon)
We are currently seeking a full-time Construction Site Supervisor to join our team in Muskegon County. This role provides oversight and training to volunteers and trade contractors while performing work at Habitat Northern Muskegon job sites. The Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the build meets building codes, controlling the project site, maintaining safety and order, and ensuring a positive experience for volunteers, trade contractors, and sponsors. The Site Supervisor coordinates with the Project Manager to ensure that all materials and trade contractors are on site as needed to meet the projected schedule and budget.

Position Responsibilities:
- Oversees construction work performed at Habitat Northern Muskegon work sites. Reviews project plans and details before construction begins and regularly communicates and coordinates with Project Managers to meet the schedule.
- Monitors job sites and updates Smartsheet and Microsoft To-Do on a continuous and daily basis.
- Sets up the site at the start of the workday and cleans/shuts down at the end of the workday. Shutdown includes being responsible for the security of the homes, materials, and equipment daily. Any theft or damage to tools, trailers, vehicles, the home, or materials must be reported to the Project Manager.
- Conducts daily shift orientation, including safety awareness, Habitat Northern Muskegon information, and conveys relevant work details for the day's project.
- Directs, trains, and encourages volunteers in various construction tasks. Incorporates every individual on the site positively and productively, ensuring a positive volunteer experience.
- Develops a weekly log of work tasks and a daily punch list to prepare for upcoming work.
- Determines materials needed on site one week in advance and communicates needs to the Project Manager and Inventory and Logistics Manager, as needed.
- Communicates with trade contractors regarding project progress, site needs, and scheduling.
- Develops relationships and goodwill with neighbors and community members on site.
- Supports Habitat Northern Muskegon in developing new Site Supervisors (volunteers, contractors, and students) by providing positive leadership and Habitat construction methods.
- Performs warranty work as required.
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Habitat for Humanity of Kent & Northern Muskegon Counties.
- Receives and maintains professional development training necessary to fulfill the minimum standards of the essential responsibilities.
- Attends workshops, seminars, conferences, and training sessions on diversity, inclusion, intercultural competency, increasing racial equity, or alleviating racism on an annual basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience in site construction, with a minimum of three years in construction management or an equivalent role.
- Current Michigan Residential Builder License, or willingness to obtain within the first year.
- Demonstrated body of work and full comprehension of all aspects of residential construction. LEED green building knowledge preferred.
- Experience with ProCore, Smartsheet, or To-Do preferred.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people and an ability to motivate and engage.
- Ability to teach construction techniques.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility with the ability to multitask.
- Regular attendance required.

Pay Range and Benefits:
Pay range: $60,000 - $70,000
