At Habitat Kent, we pride ourselves on our sustainable building practices. Since 2007, all of our homes have been Energy Star certified, and since 2023, our homes have been all-electric, helping homeowners save significantly on their utilities. We’re honored to have been recently recognized for these efforts by Consumers Energy with their Spotlight Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency. 

This award is given to an organization that is part of Consumers’ All-Electric High Efficiency Programs, and this year, we had the privilege of receiving the award. Two Habitat Kent staff members were even able to attend the award ceremony at Comerica Park to accept the honor!
