In 2013 Habitat for Humanity of Kent County will be teaming up with veterans, veteran families and community organizations for West Michigan's fourth Veteran Habitat Build. Here's how you can be involved:
Apply for Homeownership
To qualify to own this affordable, LEED-Certified home (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) with a 0% interest mortgage, applicant families must:
- Have a housing need
- Be willing to work as a partner with Habitat for Humanity of Kent County
- Meet median area income guidelines

DISABLED VETERANS HOME REPAIR PROGRAM (NRI)
Habitat for Humanity would like to offer disabled Veteran Homeowners the opportunity to receive financial support in making needed accessibility modifications to owner-occupied homes. This is a program sponsored by State Farm. Please contact Jake at jignatoski@habitatkent.org
HOME DEPOT REPAIR CORPS PROGRAM
We are excited to announce that Habitat Kent has been selected to participate in the Habitat for Humanity Repair Corps program. Habitat for Humanity and The Home Depot Foundation designed the Repair Corps program to offer needed home repairs to U.S. veterans and their families.
The program kicked off in 30 states with a project goal of 180 homes to be completed by June 30, 2013. If you are a Veteran or know one in need of home repairs, please click here for more information.
