Forest Hills Eastern Already 1/2 of the Way Toward Sponsoring an Entire New Habitat Home Construction

 

With a whopping $38,000 already raised, students at Forest Hills Eastern High School (FHE) are excited, committed and raring to raise the additional $37,000 needed to completely sponsor a new Habitat Home construction. They also plan to provide all the volunteer labor needed to build the home. These kids aren’t kidding around.

Rockford High School On-Track With First Student-Led Rehab

Rockford high School’s Youth Initiative Program is ready to begin construction in Grand Rapids NW on the first high school student-led “gut rehab” project. Youth Initiative officers and members have been hard at work since the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year developing multiple fundraising events to support building a Habitat for Humanity home as a year-long community service project.

Aquinas Steps Up as First College in W. MI to Sponsor Entire Habitat Home

In fall of 2009, Aquinas College further advanced its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility by partnering with Habitat to underwrite and complete a LEED for Homes® Silver Certified "Total Gut Rehab" home in southwest Grand Rapids.

Haiti Rebuilding
Habitat for Humanity of Kent County will be supporting Haiti relief efforts of Habitat for Humanity International through its monthly tithe. Habitat Kent tithes approximately 10% percent of unrestricted funds to global homebuilding and relief efforts.
