Habitat for Humanity of Kent county is pleased to announce the introduction of HabitatPro, a comprehensive LEED Project Experience program designed to help Grand Rapids area professionals and students gain required experience on a LEED registered Habitat construction project.
HabitatPro PX is a unique and durable LEED Project Experience program that facilitates the extraordinary opportunity to learn LEED by actually bulding LEED hands-on. Participants receive the rare chance to get personally involved with LEED registered Habitat projects as they work to achieve access to the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) exams, an internationally recognized credential showcasing an individuals knowledge of green building practices. Above all, efforts contribute to the construction of fantastic homes for hard-working qualified local low-income families!
The program provides both theoretical and practical knowledge of the LEED certification systems. HabitatPro educational experiences tie study material to real-world applications and offer an unparalleled opportunity for professionals seeking relevant, applicable green building experience. The Px program allows everyone, regardless of background or knowledge level, to have access to LEED Project Experience and accumulate the required skills and knowledge needed in order to ultimately earn Accreditation.
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive the required "letter of attestation" to sit for ANY of the LEED accreditation exams.
