Bob Fletchall

Everybody should have someone like Bob Fletchall in their lives, and thankfully for our Habitat ReStore staff and customers, we DO!

Bob, 77 years old and the quintessential "do-it-your-selfer," was looking for something to do in his retirement years. Cutting the neighbors' lawns and helping them with occasional projects wasn't enough to keep this young-at-heart gentleman busy, so he turned to Habitat for Humanity of Kent County. Bob attended a Habitat volunteer orientation, because in his own words, "Habitat is the best around to help people who need it. Habitat helps people who have very little work toward getting a home of their own."

Bob also loves working with the public - something he did throughout the U.S. and while in military service. The ReStore was a perfect fit. Now Bob volunteers four hours, two times a week, pricing products, helping with inventory, and answering customers' questions about their building projects. "Volunteering here (at ReStore) is like Christmas every day. I can't wait to come in and see the new products." Bob also is a phenomenal spokesman for ReStore, telling all his friends and acquaintances in Jension about ReStore, often offering to haul their donations to the store. Bob says he "gets more than he gives" through volunteering at ReStore. We count our blessings everyday Bob walks through the door.
