• Work takes place in targeted neighborhoods, allowing students to learn while helping revitalize their own community  
  
  
• Students from area construction programs gain hands-on green construction experience in a service learning setting

• Students work alongside the family on site 
  
  
• Habitat plans the project, schedules, and has the site ready for workers 
  
  
• Fundraising is done in partnership to pay for materials, supervision and planning

• All Habitat’s new homes and gut rehabs are LEED certified, so students learn advanced building science
